Registered Massage Therapy.
At Agile we see massage therapy as a way of decreasing stress, regulating pain and preventing injury.
Regularly seeing a massage therapist can help speed up recovery after sporting activities or injury, as well as improve the body’s posture and performance. This treatment is not just for reacting to injuries but also prevention. By seeing a massage therapist it can allow for early recognitive of potential problems in preventing injury. Our amazing team can also help decrease areas of tightness, increase range of motion and muscle flexibility. This can give you some much needed back pain or muscle ache relief after a tough game or a busy day at work. Massage therapy not only impacts the physical body but the mental state as well by helping you physically relax, increase energy levels and stimulates the brain for clearer thinking.
What can massage therapy help with?

Rehabilitation following surgery or fractures
Ligament and muscle tears and strains
Arthritis and other joint conditions
Work related pain
Whiplash
Migraine headaches
Chronic conditions such as MS, Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s Disease
What to expect?
On your first visit, you will be asked about your current problem and the impact on your life and activities. Your massage therapist will want to know about previous injuries, your general medical heath, and your physical goals. This helps them create the best treatment for you, targeting areas you are having problems with. Then a treatment plan is tailored to you. Follow-up sessions will continue the treatment process and any adjustments, based on how you present, can be made to the plan.
What forms of treatment can be offered?
Massage therapy for the soft tissues
Active therapy such as stretching, strengthening and postural exercises
Education and advice: one of the most important and effective aspects of rehabilitation is to understand more about the problem and the best ways to facilitate. Your therapist will give you a clear idea of your body and ways you can help support your treatment pathway while also seeing them.
